Shipping and Will Call agreement
• Our Goal at Crownduit is to assure that you receive your order complete and undamaged.
• All orders are F.O.B. factory.
• Crownduit’s responsibility is to deliver a properly packaged product that meets your carrier’s requirements. Since we have no control over the way the shipper handles freight, we cannot be held responsible for any damage incurred while in transit.
• All items are thoroughly inspected prior to shipment. Title passes to consignee at the time the shipment leaves the dock and carrier is agent of consignee.
• If damage is found, keep all packages intact. Do not discard boxes or packaging materials. All packages have to be inspected by the carrier first, before any claims for damage can be processed.
• It is important that you take note of any damages or shortages immediately upon delivery. All shortages and/or damages must be reported within 72 hours of delivery and prior to installation.
Damaged Goods
• Do not accept any items delivered by the carrier unless they are in perfect condition. In the case of any damages, the carrier’s agent must make the proper notations on the delivery receipt. Do not sign until this is done, The consignee must make application directly to the carrier for adjustment of any damaged goods, concealed or otherwise.
Concealed Damage
• Should the damage not be discovered until after the items are unpacked, a damage report should be made at once to the carrier whose agent will make an inspection and a “Concealed Damage” report. Unless this is done, all items repaired or replaced on account of damage shall be at your expense.
Shipping Cost
• Each shipment’s cost is determined by package weight, and distance to ship. Typically we shop and arrange the best carrier for our order. If you would prefer to use your own carrier, or Will Call your order, please notify us as early as possible.
• UPS and FedEx have limits on the weight and size of each package. Larger shipments must use common carrier.
• Shipping and handling cost cannot be determined until the order is packed and weighed.
• Defects or damaged goods must be reported within 72 hours of delivery and prior to installation.
• MDF and wood products must be maintained under stable humidity and temperature conditions for warranty to apply.
• Liability shall not exceed the replacement cost of our products.
• Orders may not be canceled, altered, or suspended, except by adjustment on terms, which will indemnify us against loss.

It is your responsibility to follow the above instructions or the carrier and the manufacturer will not be able to honor claims for freight damaged in transit.
